ABSTRAK

 The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of applying the brainstorming method in English subjects with special material on bullying. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research method. The number of students observed was 20 people. In this study, the data analysis technique used was descriptive qualitative analysis.  The results of the study with brainstorming method learning students can understand the material, students are also assisted by teachers in solving problems. from the questionnaires filled out by students it can be seen that students have begun to accept the application of brainstorming. from field observations the teacher conducted a brainstorming method learning model for students in class x SMAN 5 langsa. Teacher assessment of EFL in students can be seen in the average EFL score of 59.9% students before applying the brainstorming method in class and 78.6% after using the brainstorming method in class, therefore, students EFL has also progressed compared to before by using the brainstorming method learning model in class. Suggestions in this study In applying the brainstorming learning method the teacher must be able to interact more deeply with students and deliver broader learning. The next researcher is to be able to conduct research in several schools to compare the results of applying the brainstorming learning method. Students should be more active in group discussions and more critical in asking questions.
