ABSTRAK

This research entitled an analysis of classroom management applied by English teacher at SMPN 1 Langsa. Researcher analyze what kind of classroom management used by English teacher and difficulties in managing classroom. The purpose in this research is to discover what kind of classroom management model used by English teacher based on four classroom management theories, their difficulties in managing classroom and their solution to solve the difficulties. This research used case study method. The instruments in this research are interview and observation. The subjects of this research are four person of English teacher of SMPN 1 Langsa, they consist of two male and two female teacher. The data analyzed using Descriptive Qualitative Method. The research gone from Monday, January 26th until Thursday 28th February 2019. Based on collected data, 3 of 4 teacher manage the classroom using assertive discipline method to manage the classroom while the other one success to apply choice model classroom management. Difficulties of classroom management mostly cause by students behavior. They often out-of-seat, talk to others and self, not pay attention to the task at hand, ignore class rules, refuse to work and disobedient to teachers..
