ABSTRAK

This study entitled a study of students’ difficulties in listening comprehension at SMAN 3 Langsa. This study aimed to find out the students difficult and the factors are causing difficulties in listening comprehension. The research design of this study is use desciptive by using qualitative approach through showing percentage of the students’ difficulty and the factor of causing diffculties in listening. The data gathered through questionnaire which was taken from the students and interview the teacher. The data of this study were analyzed the researcher do the observation, used questionnare by students class XI SMAN 3 Langsa and interview the teacher for getting the conclusion. In student’s difficulties in listening comprehension find out, lack vocabulary, memory factor, poor of grammar, time limits, anxiety, diffirent accent of speaker, and rate of speech.
