ABSTRAK

This study focuses on the classification and meaning of slang words. This study aims to classify, analyze and find the most widely used type of word formation in Grade A Under A Youtube Channel. The method used in this research is qualitative content analysis. This research was conducted using the theory by Allan and Burridge (2006). The results of this study found eight types of word formation. Namely Fresh and Creative, Flippant, Imitative, Acornym and Clipping. In looking for the type most often used in this study is Flippant. The most dominant type of word formation is Flippant 50%, followed by Acornym 25%, Fresh and Creative 10%, and then Imitative 10%, then Clipping 5%.
