ABSTRAK

The purpose of this research is to find out whether the application of the cooperative script learning model can improve students' reading comprehension or not. This research is qualitative descriptive research. This research was carried out at SMA Negeri 2 Langsa with grade 11 IPA1 students. The researcher provides an assessment to assess students' abilities in order to find out the improvements that occur in students. The researcher also observes students to see student activities to find out how cooperative scripts can improve students' reading comprehension. The results of the data analysis show that the cooperative script learning model can improve students' reading comprehension. From the student assessment, there was an increase in scores from previously where students could not achieve a completion score, namely a score below 75. After implementation, students were able to achieve a completion score. According to the results of the observations made, students experienced improvement from the first meeting to the third meeting. It can be concluded that the application of the cooperative script learning model can increase students' reading comprehension.
