ABSTRAK

This research aims to describe implementation of curriculum 2013 assessment on students’ writing skill at SMAN 2 Langsa and teacher’s difficulties in implementing curriculum 2013 assessment on students’ writing skill at SMAN 2 Langsa. This research used a qualitative research. The informant in this research is two English teachers in SMAN 2 Langsa. The data obtained through classroom observation, interview and document analysis. The result of the study revealed that the teachers had implemented the curriculum 2013 assessment on students’ writing skill and faced some difficulties in implementing it. The difficulties found by teacher are less active and less obedient students, teachers’ difficulty in implementing complex assessments, and lack of learning time in class
