ABSTRAK

The focus of this research was to obtain information about the effectiveness of using google classroom in teaching English narrative  text in junior high school at eight grade of SMP Negeri 2 Alafan. The aim of this reseacrh, where to find the effectiveness of using google classroom in teaching English narrative  text and how does narrative text taught by teacher through google classroom to at eight grade junior high school. This research used qualitative method. The instrument of this research used interview and documentation, meanwhile the data collected procedure used interview and documentation. The subject of this research were teacher and student. The results of this reseach found that the online learning used  google classroom was still weakness in teaching English especially in teaching the narrative text. Students was often slow to respond to the process of learning activities carried out online and low quality of interet made them felt difficult in learning narrative text on google classroom.  Althought google classroom was still weakness used in narrative text but the google classroom application is one of the alternative solutions that can be used by the teacher to teaching English writing text during pandemic .
