THE TEACHER-STUDENT PERCEPTION ON THE USE OF AUTHENTIC MATERIAL FOR LEARNING READING ACTIVITIES. Skripsi, Universitas Samudra.
This study was aimed to investigate the teacher-student perception and to know the contribution to the successful of learning reading activities by using authentic. Authentic material is material that not created specifically to be used in the classroom, but authentic material can be excellent learning tools for students. Authentic material have been claimed by many experts to give positive impact on learning. In this research, a case study was applied as the research method and the data were qualitative data. To collect the data, some techniques of data collection were used such as observing the teacher about authentic material, distributing questionnaire to the students, and conducting the interview to students and teacher. The questionnaire was distributed from 25 students of seventh grade in SMPN. 1 STTU JULU, Pakpak Bharat, North Sumatera. Through the data analysis, the researcher found that students were mostly liked to learn reading activities by using authentic material. Authentic material was success to countribute positive effect on learning reading activities.
