ABSTRAK

This research is motivated by the condition of students who find it difficult to master English vocabulary. The researchers focus on this problem to describe the causes of students' low mastery of English vocabulary, as well as the efforts of students and teachers in overcoming difficulties experienced by students. The data on this research are only involved children who were under ten years of age. This research only uses observation and interview methods as data collection tools and will be conducted at SD Negeri 8 Langsa. This research findings indicated seven effective and widespread ways of teaching vocabulary to young students.
