ABSTRAK

The aim of this research was to found that dyadic essay effective in teaching English writing. dyadic essay is one of collaborative learning and a model response to their own question, exchange the essay question. This research used quantitative method by used one group pre-test post-test design. The sample of students only one class VIII A with total 20 students. The instrument of the study was observation and test. Based on the result of research the researcher found that students improved in learning English by dyadic essay with score post-test more than higher than pre-test. The result of post-test showed that 78 and pre-test 50,4. So that, it can be concluded dyadic essay effective for teaching English writing students at SMPN 1 Julok.
