ABSTRAK

This research aimed to find out the use memrise application in improving students listening skill. This research was conduct at SD Negeri 1 Langsa. The population of this research was the sixth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Langsa. The total number of population was 127 and the sample was 27 students. The researcher applied descriptive qualitative method. The instrumen of collecting the data was observation, test, interview, and documentation. The result of the research showed that the students’ listening skill have improved through the using of memrise application which has adjusted with the material and the addition of interesting learning methods used by teachers in teaching. It indicated by students mean score before using memrise application or Test 1 was 59,07 and the after using memrise application or Test 2 was 77,59. Thus, it can be concluded that the students’ listening skill is increase after using memrise application. The researcher concludes that the using of the memrise application can be the one alternative as a good media in learning english to improve the students’ listening skills in particular.
