ABSTRAK

This research aimed to know the effect of using digital picture series. This research was conducted at MTs MIM Langsa. The sample of this research were students of IX.1 and IX.2. nineth grade at MTs MIM  Langsa. The research used quasi experimental research. The design of the research was used non-qiuvalent control group design consisting experimental group and control group. The instrument of this research were observation sheet, pre-test and post test. The data used descriptive and t test. Based on the analysis, the researcher found the differently between both class, that digital picture series was able to improve students’ writing skill. The result of the study indicated that there is a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class.  This is shown through the mean score of post - test 63.22 for control class, while 71.63 for experiment class, it means that there were differences in the students’ writing skills between before and after treatment.
