ABSTRAK

The research aims to gain the information about the impact of the Implementation students’ perceptions of Mimicry-Memorization method on students’ vocabulary Imam An-Nawawi Traditional Boarding School. The research used a quantitative method with the quasi experimental design. The sample of the research was 20 female students of the participant in Peer Teaching and Learning program as the experimental class and 20 male students of VIII male class as the controlled class at Imam An-Nawawi Traditional Boarding School. The sample was chosen through purposive sampling. To collecting the data from the both classes, the research used test, observation and interview as the research instrument. The test was consisted into pre-test and post-test. The data from both pre-test and post-test calculated and analyzed by using T-test. The result revealed that the accumulation of post-test and pre-test score showed the significant different that presented in gained score. The mean of the gained score of the experimental class was 32.40 and the controlled class was 12.45. Acording to the result statistical calculation the t0 (t- observation) was 4.41 and the value of the tt (t table) from the df (19) on the degree of significance 0.05 is 2.09 and 0.01 is 2.86 (2.09<4.41>2.86). Additionally, the students’ ability has developed such pronunciation, translating, and listening. The students showed the enthusiasm, pleasure, and the enjoyment in participating learning vocabulary.
