ABSTRAK

The aims of this research wereto find out the types of tenses used inFrozen 2movie script and the relevance of tenses movie script as a material to teaching EFL at Junior High School.This study applied descriptive qualitative method. The instruments used in this research were document analysis and interview. The data resources were document from the movie script and syllabus at Junior High School. The result of this research presented that there are seven types of tenses are found in Frozen 2 movie script, namely Simple Present Tense, Present Progressive, Present Perfect, Present Perfect Progressive, Simple Past Tense, Past Progressive, and Simple Future Tense. There are six tenses matched for the syllabus, they were Simple Present Tense, Simple Past Tense, Present Continuous Tense, Past Continuous Tense, Present Perfect Tense, and Present Future Tense.The result indicated there was a high frequency of the tensesin the movie script with the syllabus with total number 99.5 %.This study concluded that Frozen 2 movie script can be used as supporting material by English teachers to teach EFL for junior high school students
