ERROR ANALYSIS IN USING ENGLISH VOCABULARY IN WRITING RECOUNT TEXT AT SMP NEGERI 3 LANGSA. . Skripsi, Universitas Samudra.
The aims of this study were to describe the types of errors made by the students’ in using vocabulary in writing recount texts at SMP Negeri 3 Langsa. The research conducted at at the second grade of SMP Negeri 3 Langsa but the researcher selected a class as sample. It was 2-A that consisted of 20 students. The researcher used descriptive qualitative method in this study. In this research, the researcher used quantitative research. Technique of data collection that used by the writer was test and interview. The result of the study showed that the error made by students were error in spelling, there were 11 sentences that consisted of vocabulary error. Word choice, the error in word choice did by student was found 22 in the sentences. Omit a word, there were 5 sentences that consisted of error of “omit a word”. Capitalization, there were 4 sentences that consited of vocabulary that contained with the capitalization. There were 2 sentences of using word order. There were 12 setences of error in using verb tense, and singular-plural, there were 2 sentences that consisted of errror in using Singular-plural vocabulary.Kata kunci : Error Analysis, Vocabulary, Writing and Recount Text
