ABSTRAK

This study about teaching reading comprehension by using communicative approach through songs to the eight grade students of SMPN 10 Langsa . the aim of the study is to describes the using of songs that could be make the student active in reading comprehension . The purpose of the study is also to find out weather students teaching learning activity by using songs looked excited and enthusiast. The researched use one class as experimental of the study that consist of 30 students, and the data were collected by test and questionaire. The data showed that the mean of the total score that divided total of the learner significantly  proved the highest score of the 86 and the classification of the score showedd that the average of the result identification of god. if means that the teachinh reading comprehension by using communicative approach throug songs to the eight grade student of SMPN 10 Langsa exciting and enthusiastically in teaching learning process
