ABSTRAK

Listening deserves particular attention. The listening is the activity of paying attention to and trying to get meaning from something we hear. The researcher aims the purpose of this study was to know to investigate the students’ interest with listening through watching English movie in Listening and to know English watching movie can help enhance the listening ability after students watched English movie in listening. The researcher used descriptive quantitative research with quasi experimental design research by exploring the English movies towards students’ listening skill. The instrument used in this study are test (pre-test and post-test). The students were given a test consisting of 20 blank exam questions test to find out the answer to the experimental class and also to the control class. Furthermore, an instrument of 15 questions of observation sheet. And then, the researcher interview were used to get the data about teacher and students’while and after teaching and learning process. Based on the calculation data, the result of the English listening skill test in the experiment class after conducting treatment, the students got the mean 87,03. Whereas the result of the English listening skill test in the control class got mean 80, 96.besides of the comparison of the mean score in the both class. The researcher also did hypothesis testing.based on the result of hypothesis testing, the researcher got that tobserved > ttable that is 5,836 > 2,750. Therefore, Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. It can be conclude that,It means that teaching using English watching movie towards English listening skill for the students score is significant effect.
